Why presence matters

Burglars pick homes that look empty.

Most break-ins are opportunistic: a quick look from the street – dark windows, no movement, no sound – and the decision is made. KEVIN® shows the opposite.

≈ 70 %

of burglaries happen during the day – while you are at work, shopping or out with the kids (police estimate).

< 5 min

is all a burglar needs. Police usually arrive too late – what counts is that the attempt never starts.

KEVIN® does it for you.

One device near a window makes your place look and sound occupied – on a schedule, or automatically when the last person leaves.

How KEVIN® works

Presence through light, shadow and sound.

Light

The room comes alive.

Room light and TV flicker that follow the time of day – never the rigid on/off of a timer.

Shadow

People move behind the curtains.

Silhouettes of one or more people cross the wall or ceiling – visible from the street.

Sound

It sounds lived-in.

Cooking, vacuuming, conversations, music – or your own recordings, varied by AI so evenings never repeat.

All three from one device – no installation, no camera, ready in minutes.

Presence, powered by AI

Believable for weeks – never the same evening twice.

Presence

Ready-to-use Presence modes.

Ready-to-use Presence modes combine light, shadow and everyday sounds – cooking, conversations, TV, a vacuum cleaner. Pick the one that fits your space and routine, or record your own household sounds in the app.

AI-varied Presence

Endless hours without repetition.

KEVIN®

Realistic signs of Presence make an unattended property feel occupied – alongside the security you already have.

KEVIN® for Business

Make your premises feel active – even when they are unattended.

KEVIN® creates realistic signs of activity through light, shadow and sound in unattended business premises – offices, shops, workshops, warehouses, storage facilities and garages.

Same KEVIN® device and app – configured for your premises. KEVIN® Business includes three devices; add more for larger sites.

FAQ

Questions before you buy.

How does KEVIN® protect against burglary?

Burglars avoid homes that look occupied – they want speed and discretion, and the risk of meeting someone deters them. KEVIN® makes your home look and sound lived-in with changing light, moving shadows of people and everyday sounds. Presence simulation is recommended by police and Swiss Crime Prevention.

Which package is right for me?

KEVIN® Apartment (1 device) for a flat, studio or single room facing the street. KEVIN® Home (2 devices) for a house or a large apartment – one per floor or side. KEVIN® Business (3 devices) for offices, shops, workshops or several sites. You can add more devices at any time and manage them all in one app.

Compare the packages →

Where do I place KEVIN®?

Near a window that can be seen from the street, with a wall or ceiling nearby for the shadows. Plug it in, connect the app – no installation, ready in minutes.

How is KEVIN® different from a timer or an alarm?

A timer switches the same lamp at the same time every evening – that looks automatic. KEVIN® combines light, shadows of people and sounds, varied by AI so evenings do not repeat. An alarm reacts once someone is already at the door; KEVIN® works before that, so the attempt does not start. KEVIN® complements your existing alarm or cameras.

Does KEVIN® work without Wi-Fi?

Yes. KEVIN® stores its light, shadow and sound simulations on the device and plays them locally. If Wi-Fi fails or burglars use a jammer, KEVIN® keeps going.

Does KEVIN® have a camera or microphone?

No. KEVIN® has no camera and no microphone, and it does not need the cloud. Location data used for automatic start and stop is stored on the device.

Can KEVIN® start automatically when we leave?

Yes. With geofencing, KEVIN® starts when the last linked phone leaves home and stops when someone returns. You can also set schedules for work days, weekends or holidays.

What is included, and what does it cost to run?

Every package is a one-time purchase: the KEVIN® device(s), the KEVIN® app for iOS and Android, free delivery and a 3-year Swiss warranty. KEVIN® uses about 9 W on average – far less than leaving lamps, a TV or a radio on.
